Rancho La Puerta: Days 3 & 4

So yesterday morning I went on the "Organic Garden Breakfast Hike." We walked two miles to Rancho La Puerta's organic farm and cooking school, and once we got there breakfast was ready for us- it was delicious! After breakfast we got a tour of their organic farm. Here's some pictures of their farm:

Garlic Plants- very pretty!

A friend I made!

Then, after lunch I went to one of the many health and fitness lectures given at Rancho La Puerta; the one I went to was titled: "Weight Loss Strategies for Becoming a Better Burning Machine." It was very informative and helpful. What was mainly taught was how portion control and the proper quality and quantity of exercise will help you achieve your desired weight. Hopefully I will apply what I learned! At 3:00 I went to a "Pilates Reformer" class at Rancho la Puerta's Pilates studio. I enjoyed it very much. The fitness staff here at Rancho La Puerta are all so great to be around! Finally, at 4:00 I went to a "Stretch and Relax" class. In the evening I went to a jewelry workshop at Rancho La Puerta's resident artist's studio. Since this is my third time to Rancho La Puerta, I always go the jewelry workshops, I just love them! Inside on a big table she puts out around five big bowls full of miscellaneous mixes of beads, and you are given a plate to fill up with the beads you pick from the bowls to make a total of three pieces of jewelry. It is somehow so relaxing while you are digging through the heaps of beads and putting together masterpieces!

Today, I went on the "Pilgrim Hike" again. Then, as usual, to the tennis clinic. After that, I went to another "Release and Mobilize" class before lunch. At 1:00 I went back to attempt to finish painting my alebrije, but I did not finish it, so I have to go back on Friday! Then at 4:00 I went for a "Hot Stone River Massage" at the spa. It was so relaxing; it was great! Tonight I am going to a jewelry workshop again! Last night I made myself a necklace, so I can make two more pieces tonight! Happy Travels!
